The Children’s Diabetes Foundation was established in 1977 in Denver as a non-profit organization dedicated solely to the support of research in diabetes and to provide the best possible clinical and educational programs for people with the disease. The Foundation’s mission is to raise funds to support the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes, where thousands of patients of all ages from all over the world receive the finest diabetes care available. Since 1978, the Children’s Diabetes Foundation has contributed $100 million dollars to the Barbara Davis Center. The Denver Police Activities League (PAL) is a non profit charitable organization established in 1969 to provide athletic and other endeavors to Denver youth during high-risk hours, and to be a positive interface between the Denver Police Department and the community. Denver PAL has a third generation of youngsters participating in their programs. Grandparents are coaching, parents are involved and children continue to need their programs. they see first hand how the positive influence of their activities has changed the lives of those individuals involved. Remember, just because your nonprofit didn’t make it to the Championship Game, your nonprofit may still be up for additional prizes! Every team that scored exactly 35 points in either half of their game will be entered into a drawing at the end of the tournament for a prize. We also will have a prize for the team that is knocked out with the biggest point spread at the end of the tournament.
