We are excited to share with you the success of the “Valet It Forward” fundraiser, during the Gold Crown Foundation Holiday Tournament.
As a recap, during Gold Crown’s Holiday Tournament, over 200 basketball teams competed over a 12 day period. Each team selected a nonprofit to support. Jay’s Valet partnered with Gold Crown to donate all proceeds raised through valet parking at the event to two randomly selected team’s chosen nonprofits.
On December 29th, we had a donation ceremony, where we handed over two $1,500 checks to support two great nonprofit organization. You can watch the video here:

The first nonprofit, The Officer Adsit Recovery Fund, was selected by the Douglas County 6th Grade Boys Basketball team. Officer John Adsit was one of four officers injured when a car plowed into them as they escorted high school students who were protesting recent events. Adsit, who is listed in critical condition, is married and has four children, including one who plays for the Douglas County Basketball team that chose his fund. Adsit has been a member of the Denver Police Department for 9 years. This money raised will go directly toward supporting his family and medical bills. We are so proud of the basketball teams involved in this tournament. Our original goal with “Valet It Forward” was to leave an impression on the kids about what it means to give back to the community. We truly believe that this impacted their views on different ways of helping nonprofits and the ability to make a difference in other’s lives. It was definitely a great way to finish up 2014.
