Last week, Jay’s Valet teamed up with the Zane Beadle Parade Foundation to provide young people going through life-changing medical experiences with Snuggle Pads designed by It’s All in the Pillow. Each Snuggle Pad is inspired by the Zane Beadles elephant logo, and folds open to be a tray for eating and/or for arts and crafts. It even has a cup holder! These are amazingly plush toys that guarantee a smile on every child’s face.
We started on Tuesday with breakfast provided by Snooze with the families of Brent’s Place. Jay Mills, Erin Zumbro, Julie Gart and Zane Beadles passed out 33 Snuggle Pads to the kids at Brent’s Place and their siblings. They also decorated delicious cupcakes provided by Dbar.
On Thursday, Blake Berman, Becky Fairchild and Karen Romero joined the group to help us spread the love with several more stops to hand out the Snuggle Pads. We stopped by Children’s Hospital and gave them 15 Snuggle Pads for their kids going through treatment.
We then made a stop at Rocky Mountain Children’s Hospital.
This is where we met Haily with her huge collection of stuffed animals. She was so excited to have a new place to do her homework and crafts on.
We also visited one child that was in a non-contact room after just being finished with her treatment. Erin and Julie had to wear protective clothing and gloves in order to enter her room and give her the Snuggle Pad.
Our last stop was to the parents of baby Cooper Willson. He was born January 20, 2015 with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. We gave his parents a Snuggle Pad for Cooper, for when he gets older, plus two more for his cousins who have been visiting him in the hospital. You can also Help Cooper’s family through their crowdrise fundraiser page for baby Cooper.
It was definitely an inspiring, heart-felt week full of giving that we couldn’t pass up. All of these children were amazingly strong and it just proves how much a simple gesture of a Snuggle Pads can truly brighten their day.
