We are excited to announce that Tyler Ryan has made huge strides in his recovery since we last shared with you. As you may recall, Tyler, a Jay’s Valet team member and “Good Samaritan”, was involved in a horrific accident resulting in a myriad of injuries including the amputation of his left leg above the knee in November of 2011.
Since December 2012, Tyler has returned to work with the Jay’s Valet Team at Remington Park Racing Casino as our new Shuttle Manager. Within just a couple of weeks, Tyler already showed his true nature, going above and beyond the call of duty. He was witnessed, propping up every employee’s windshield wiper so they wouldn’t get frozen over in freezing rain. He did this with strong wind gusts making it rain sideways. Remington Park noticed his extraordinary behavior and presented Tyler with a Positively Incredible Behavior Award. His spirit, never hindered by this accident, is a true testament of his kind heart.
As a huge Oklahoma City Thunder fan, Tyler was surprised to have his Oklahoma Thunder prosthetic, signed by the entire team. Kevin Durant, also continues to show his support by continuing to wear Tyler Ryan’s “Keep Moving Forward” wrist band, over a year since the incident. We couldn’t begin to show the Thunder’s owner, Clay Bennett, our appreciation for all thesupport he and his team has provided Tyler throughout these trying times. Their support has truly helped Tyler to “Keep Moving Forward.”
We wanted to share Tyler’s story with everybody once more, just to show that all the support provided toward him has truly made a difference. Thank you all for all of your kind hearts.
