So far in this tournament, the “4-Point Play” Second Place Prize is leaning towards Lafayette – Women’s Foundation of Colorado who currently was defeated by the largest point spread of 41 points. The “Bonus +1” Second Place Prize drawing currently has only one entrance, North Florida – There With Care, who scored exactly 35 points in the first half. Every time any teams scores 35 points in either half, they will have the opportunity to be entered into the drawing. The winners of the Second Place prizes will be announced at the end of the tournament.

We also visited one child that was in a non-contact room after just being finished with her treatment. Erin and Julie had to wear protective clothing and gloves in order to enter her room and give her the Snuggle Pad.

“Valet It Forward” fundraiser, during the 
was selected by the Douglas County 6th Grade Boys Basketball team. Officer John Adsit was one of four officers injured when a car plowed into them as they escorted high school students who were protesting recent events. Adsit, who is listed in critical condition, is married and has four children, including one who plays for the Douglas County Basketball team that chose his fund. Adsit has been a member of the Denver Police Department for 9 years. This money raised will go directly toward supporting his family and medical bills. the Bear Creek 8th Grade Boys Basketball team. Brent’s Place is the only Children’s Hospital Colorado approved “Safe-Clean” housing facility for immune compromised patients and their families, providing a living environment that is essential to healing and recovery. It is designed to offer families “Safe-Clean” individualized housing in an environment virtually free from dander, dust, mold and other infectious agents. “Valet It Forward” was to leave an impression on the kids about what it means to give back to the community. We truly believe that this impacted their views on different ways of helping nonprofits and the ability to make a difference in other’s lives. It was definitely a great way to finish up 2014.
